01. Why blog?

I believe in sharing experience, ideas, the good stuff. I also believe in cooperation and honest exchange with fellow fighters, well, all people really. Finally, I also believe in getting your name out there by doing what you really enjoy. So, a blog works for me! This blog is intended to give an account of my experience as a freelance interpreter and translator in Vienna. The focus will be on how to get established. Although the primary intended group are the many talented students of the Department of translation studies at the University of Vienna, where I work as a lecturer, I would like to think that freelancers from other fields might also find the posts informative.
